The world is your oyster.

Marie organised this little shoot as a surprise for her daughter Taylah's graduation from UOW. Like so many other events and celebrations during this pandemic it robbed Taylah of her graduation ceremony. So Marie thought she deserved to be recognised for all her hard work and to be acknowledged for what an incredible achievement gaining a bachelor degree is. Taylah has to be one of the sweetest humans alive and with her degree now under her belt those kiddies who will benefit from her studies are very lucky indeed.

While graduating with a bachelor degree myself I have never asked the question why it is called a 'bachelor' degree and for all of you playing along at home this is what I found via Wikipedia... "The term bachelor in the 12th century referred to a knight bachelor, who was too young or poor to gather vassals under his own banner. By the end of the 13th century, it was also used by junior members of guilds or universities. By folk etymology or wordplay, the word baccalaureus came to be associated with bacca lauri in reference to laurels being awarded for academic success or honours." So there you go! You learn something new everyday.

Anyway congratulations Taylah, wishing you every success for a very bright future ahead.
